Prayer for Truth

Heavenly Father, thank You for preserving Your sacred Word for us.

Please open the eyes of our hearts and grow our passion for study, so that we will not be easily deceived. 2 Tim 2:15

Bless us, please Lord, with the gift of the spirit of knowledge, as You know all hearts. Eph 1:17

Guide us to boldly guard our hearts and not lean into our own understanding or trust anyone without comparing scripture with scripture.

In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen.

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Welcome to Bible Study Compass

A Scripture-centred study tool designed to help you rightly divide the Word of Truth (2 Timothy 2:15, KJV) using a clear dispensational timeline.

See at a glance who is speaking, the audience, and how this verse applies to our lives today as the Church of the Body of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:15 (KJV)
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

When Scripture becomes a source of anger rather than edification, we are leaning on our own understanding. God calls His people to be learners and teachers who study diligently, compare spiritual things with spiritual, and give answers with meekness and reverence — not strife or pride.

A Solemn Warning About Wrong Division

All Scripture is inspired — but not all Scripture is written directly to us.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

Every word of Scripture is God-breathed and true, yet it must be rightly divided if it is to be applied correctly.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God… rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)

When commands given to Israel, or instructions belonging to a previous administration, are applied directly to the Church which is His Body, the result is often:

  • confusion

  • fear

  • conditional assurance

  • trust shifted from Christ’s finished work to human obedience

One of the most serious outcomes of wrong division is placing confidence in water baptism, ordinances, or obedience for salvation. The Bible is not a buffet table where we can just pick and choose. There is a time and place for everything. God is not the author of confusion.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)

If salvation depends on anything added — baptism, rituals, law-keeping, or obedience — then grace is no longer grace.

When water baptism or any outward act is made necessary for salvation, faith is no longer resting fully in Christ alone.

The gospel of grace proclaims salvation as a gift, not a reward for obedience.

“And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace.”
Romans 11:6 (KJV)

- 2 Timothy 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

Gospel of Salvation

Jesus, God in the flesh, gave His life for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day.
Salvation is God’s free gift, received by faith. If you trust in Christ as Lord, you are sealed by the Holy Spirit and held securely in God’s hand. Nothing can separate you from eternal life with Him.

A simple prayer of thanks and confirmation:
Heavenly Father, thank You for dying in my place and forgiving my sins—past, present, and future. Thank You for the gift of eternal life and the hope of heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Salvation is eternal, though our Heavenly inheritance can be affected by how we live, Colossians 3:23–24 (KJV). Grow through prayer, daily study, and fellowship with other believers. Test everything against God’s Word. Seek a local church, stay humble, walk in love, and use your faith to serve others. Be bold when needed—but always in grace, truth, and love.

We are the Church which is His Body:

  • Salvation is complete

  • Forgiveness is full

  • and justification rests entirely on Christ’s finished work

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins…”
Ephesians 1:7 (KJV)

Water baptism and ordinances cannot add to what Christ has already accomplished.

What this study tool helps you see

  • Who God is addressing in each passage that your are reading.
  • The appointed ministry for that period of time. Our appointed  Minister for this age is Paul the prisoner starting from Ephesians. Paul's prison ministry started in Ephesians which was chronologically written after Acts 28:28 (the time Israel was divorced for rejecting their Messiah.)

  • Where each book fits within God’s unfolding purpose. Only 2 types of people in the bible, Jew and Gentile (non-Jew)

  • Whether a passage is doctrinally applicable today, transitional, or future.

A rightly divided approach

Scripture reveals that God has dealt with different peoples in different ways across different ages. Failure to recognise these distinctions often leads to confusion, contradiction, and misplaced application. The danger of mixing works with faith instead of faith by the Grace of God Ephesians 2:8&9

This tool uses a clear dispensational timeline to show where each portion of Scripture belongs, with particular attention given to the distinctive ministry of the Apostle Paul and the revelation of the Mystery made known after Acts 28:28.
